My Journey
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Louisiana State University with a minor in Business Administration and a second minor in Art History. After graduation, I worked as a graphic designer for an advertising agency, where I put my technical skills into practice. I moved to an in-house marketing team for a local restaurant group in New Orleans, Louisiana. There, I utilized my logical thinking and aptitude for technology to help the marketing team make informed decisions regarding efforts to attract new and repeat customers. I craved data-driven decisions and strived to incorporate data into my design process.
When the pandemic hit, I left the hospitality industry and moved to a commercial construction company. I leveraged my acquired marketing skills to help the business gain a larger residential construction presence in addition to their primarily commercial portfolio.
Now, I've found my way to UX and Product Design and I am pursuing a Master of Science in Information Design and Strategy from Northwestern University, specializing in UX/UI. I have an expected graduation date of August 2024.
I currently live in New Orleans, LA, with my husband and two children. I enjoy working on projects around the house, gardening, playing in my local tennis league, and throwing pottery.
